The Forgotten 88 Has Returned

Before the award-winning Padilla 88 Aniversario made its mark, there was this cigar — a rare 6x56 slightly box-pressed Figurado we were playing with at AJ Fernandez during the original blending trials.

It was built with near-extinct Cuban-seed Pelo de Oro grown in Jalapa, Nicaragua, and dressed with top-tier Corojo ’99 fillers from Estelí and Condega. Medium-full, complex, and alive with spice, dark coffee, and a long creamy finish.

A couple hundred were left behind, almost forgotten at the AJ Fernandez factory.
