In the factory, there were these Corojo cigars — not ordinary, not even close. Left behind from a super-premium project. Box-pressed. Dense with character. The kind of cigars that don’t get made twice. The rollers, with that quiet instinct only real craftsmen have, started wrapping bundles in local newspaper. Nicaragua ink, ink on paper, paper on leaf. Turns out now there’s even a Chinese paper in circulation — and it looked too damn good to ignore.

So I didn’t.

We sent them to Miami. Put them up raw. No polishing the story.
